How Scratch Off Stickers Work
- Write or print your hidden message on your card, worksheet, coupon, invitation, or other material.
- Make sure the message fits completely underneath the scratch off sticker.
- Apply by tabber, labeler (requires a 3" cardboard core), or hand apply. Peel the sticker from the backing and place it over the hidden message.
- Press firmly so the sticker adheres smoothly.
- For best results, allow 48 hours for the adhesive to fully bond to the card before scratching.
- Let the recipient scratch with a coin or Scratcher Chip to reveal the message. Do not use a fingernail. A coin or Scratcher Chip is recommended for a cleaner reveal.

Easy to use!! You can just cut them in a smaller size if you just need small ones! I put on a copy paper and still works great!!
I am a 4th grade teacher, and 4th grade is a transitional age. When it comes to rewards, many children are too old for "treasure box" but still like to receive acknowledgement for good behavior or a job well-done. I like to reward them with things like lunch with the teacher, sit in the rolling chair for a day, chew gum for a day, and other things that cannot be put into a treasure box.I loved the idea of making a card with a scratch off. The scratch off allows for a bit of mystery and excitement, while the children wait to see what they've won. There are some scratch-off reward coupons available to purchase, I wanted to ability to customize my own, so I was excited to try out these scratch-off label stickers.I made my reward coupons on cardstock and then placed these gold-colored stickers on the top. As you can see from the photo, the gold scratches off to reveal the prize underneath. It worked beautifully, and I liked that the gold is "thick" enough so that it won't come off by just handling the cards. You really had to scrape it with a coin. The gold is also thick enough that there is no possible way to see through the sticker to see what's underneath. The students LOVE these things!
I bought them because I'm organizing a beer tasting event and a lucky winner will go home with a six pack of beers :) To make it a little more fun I thought to create some scratch off tickets and these guys are perfect to make your own customized ones! The are a lot, they stick super well, they cover as well and they are easy to scratch off. What more you can ask :) (A six pack of beer, I presume).Super happy with the purchase and definitely recommended!
UPDATE 8/7I will not purchase these again. This was my 2nd order of these and both times, there were only 84 stickers instead of 100. They are overpriced to begin with, but absolutely not cost effective to continue buying.ORIGINAL REVIEW 4 STARSI only received 84. I printed out 80 labels with codes to put on my cards and when I was done adding the scratch off stickers, I only had 4 left. I was planning on purchasing the larger quantity when I ran out of my other stickers from another seller but I didn't have time to wait for delivery on those. Hopefully this is not a common occurrence as I really did like these stickers. Others I have purchased have a very strong paint odor. These did not smell at all! They also cost more than the others I have purchased but I could not find this size anywhere else.
I used these scratch off stickers for a Secret Santa name drawing on tags that I created on my Cricut using the pen feature.We pretty quickly found out that if you didn't manage to scratch it off the first go, because the pen creates indents in the cardstock, the name is faintly visible underneath (photo 2). This would not be an issue if the name was printed or written in a way that didn't very slightly indent the material. It scratches off nicely using fingernails or coins if against a hard backing.Because I put mine over packing tape after initially planning to use a DIY method, we were able to actually peel the sticker off and replace it when someone got their name so it could go back into the pot for someone else to scratch. It would not be as easy to peel off if put directly onto paper.Over all, these did exactly what we needed them to. I'll definitely be coming up with plans to use up the rest of the ones I purchased. Nice color, scratches pretty well, the perfect size for my project!
