What have been the keys to success for the business?  Listen to your customers. They tell you every day what they need; you must be willing to listen. Focus on what works and build your products around that. Customer feedback is key. Send review requests and follow up emails as often as you can. You don’t know what you don’t know. Not every customer will tell you their idea or if they have a challenge. Sometimes you need to ask.

What is your best advice for other business owners to find success in business?  If you keep trying, success will follow. Business owners are dreamers at heart. Don’t be afraid to try out all ideas.  If you have 100 ideas, try them all! Sure, some ideas don’t pan out. The knowledge gained from failures will drive you in the right direction. Let go of what isn’t working and embrace the strengths in yourself and your team.

What’s the smartest thing your company did in the past year?  We stopped dreaming and started doing. It is so easy to compile a “I’ll get to that later” or “I’d like to try that out” list.  In the past year, we developed a brand-new website, took our products to retail and launched an amazing social media campaign (just to name a few!).

How do you differentiate your business from others in your industry? My Scratch Offs is wholly focused on the customer experience. Without our customers, we wouldn’t be where we are today.  Believe it or not, people like talking to people.  Our customer service team has in depth conversations with our customers to find out what will fit their needs the best. Customers can tell when they are listened to and when you care. Respond to everyone in less than a day and show them that you care, and you’ll be amazed where it takes you!
