Planning to create your own Custom Scratch Off Card artwork? Feel free to contact us prior to designing. We can confirm card size, scratch off area formatting, and file setup for your order. A quick check before you start can prevent delays and design changes later.

Prepare your file

Use an approved, print-ready format

Submit your artwork as an Adobe Illustrator (.ai) file with all layers and assets accessible or as a layered PDF.

Flattened files, screenshots, Canva links, JPGs, and PNGs are not considered print-ready artwork.

Set up the card

Add bleed and protect important content

Bleed, trim, and safe area

  • Extend backgrounds and full-bleed images at least 0.125 inches beyond the trim line on every side.
  • Keep text, logos, and important design elements at least 0.25 inches inside the final trim line.
  • Allow backgrounds to continue through the bleed so trimming does not leave an unprinted white edge.

Build the scratch area

  • Format the scratch area for the size and shape of your selected scratch off sticker.
  • Keep the hidden message or prize at least 0.125 inches inside the sticker edge.
  • Leave at least 0.125 inches of clear space between the sticker and surrounding text or important design elements.

Leave the area around the sticker blank

Do not place a printed circle, square, rectangle, border, or outline around the scratch off sticker. Our stickers are applied by machine. Normal machine movement can cause any printed shape around the sticker to show.

If a shape is an important part of your design, email info@myscratchoffs.com before designing so we can help determine whether it can be produced successfully.

Submit your artwork

Send each variation as a separate file

Submission checklist

  • Submit a separate front file for every card variation.
  • If every variation uses the same back design, submit the back file only once.
  • Clearly label each file with its corresponding variation name.
  • ZIP large files before attaching them to your email.
  • Do not send Google Drive, Dropbox, Canva, or other file-sharing links.
